Pink Denmark Value and more facts
What is Pink Denmark?
This is a variation of popular ceramic pattern known as Blue Denmark. It was produced by English manufacturers such as Furnivals and Masons. Currently production of Pink Denmark ceramics is discontinued.
Â
Origins of Pink Denmark
Both the Blue and Pink Denmark patterns were inspired by a Royal Copenhagen design called “Blue Fluted”. This Danish pattern, in turn, was based on the earlier German “Straw Flower” motif.
Â
Pink Denmark China or Ceramics?Â
While it is often referred as “Pink Denmark China” in reality it is not made of porcelain. Both Blue and Pink Denmark crockery are made of ironstone. Which is a very durable type of ceramics.
Â
What is Pink Denmark Worth?
The value of Pink Denmark ceramics varies depending on the item. Teacups and saucers are typically the most affordable pieces, while larger items such as teapots and platters can sell for as much as £30–£40.
Â
Pink Denmark vs. Blue Denmark
Blue Denmark was extremely popular during the latter half of the 20th century, and second-hand pieces remain in demand today. In contrast, Pink Denmark was produced in much smaller quantities, making it rarer and generally more valuable than Blue Denmark.
