Blue Denmark Johnson Brothers
The Johnson Brothers “Denmark / Blue Denmark” pattern is based on a traditional Danish blue-and-white design first created in the late 18th century by Royal Copenhagen. Johnson Brothers appears to have begun producing its version of the pattern in the 1990s, with documented pieces from that decade. More modern pieces with cleaner transfer prints generally date from about 2000–2014, when production was moved overseas and the pattern became widely distributed. Production ended in the mid-2010s when the Johnson Brothers line was discontinued under its parent company Wedgwood.
