Made in Occupied Japan Blue & White Floral Saucer

Bone china saucer decorated with blue and white print. The surface is divided into radiating panels, each filled with floral sprigs including chrysanthemums and prunus blossoms. A laurel leaf border runs along the outer rim. A raised central well is left plain white. The reverse bears a printed mark in blue reading Made in Occupied Japan, dating this piece to the occupation period of 1945-1952.
