Antique Spode Imari Porcelain Coffee Can

Spode porcelain coffee can in the imari palette of cobalt blue, iron red, and gilt. Decorated with alternating panels, cobalt blue grounds with large gilt leaf sprays and a central cartouche containing a bird among flowers, separated by white panels with trailing floral branches. Gilt loop handle. Plain unglazed foot rim. Cylindrical form. Early 19th century, circa 1800-1820.
