Royal Grafton Porcelain Saucers Birds of Paradise

Royal Grafton Fine Bone China Saucers decorated with birds and butterfly patterns, which was common and often called the “Bird of Paradise pattern”. This type of decoration originated from the Japanese Kakiemon Style. However, it was widely adopted by English Porcelain manufacturers and eventually evolved into the so-called “English Kakiemon”. The saucers were produced by Royal Grafton with porcelain marks “ENGLAND Grafton China BAJ & Sons”. The identical design was also stamped with “LAYLEY’s Norfolk Pottery Stoke-on-Trent Grafton China”.
