Sone 3686 is one of popular export china patterns. Made in Japan in the second half of 20th century. The floral composition features a cluster of leafy fronds with peony flowers in the centre and along the branches. Overall despite its not being original, the decorative print is of superlative quality. Same as the porcelain body. The proportions are superb, and the shape is elaborate with delicate touches such as small curves on the edges of the rims, adding to the overall visual impact.
All of the Sone patterns were designed for export. The shape and decorative part were often a copy of popular European manufacturers.
